...is how I would describe this interview. I was so impressed and touched by Mary's responses that I had to comment. Her poise and honesty during this interview made me want to hear more of what she has to say. Her words were both encouraging and empowering to me. I wish Mary much success and pray that I too continue to grow.

Hats off to Tavis Smiley...great job with the probing questions. I must say that this was one of the most insightful interviews I can recall of Mary. He asked some interesting questions and Mary you were transparent. I loved the humility and sincerity Mary expressed. That is why you have endured…you’re true to yourself and your fans. Thanks for the luncheon in Atlanta. It was unreal. You are a jewel. The new album is so HOT! I love it. While your style has evolved, you're still true to yourself and as a result your fans will love your work. Mary I am so happy that your life is going well and that you are able to translate that into work. Proud to be a Mary J Fan, Melanie From Atlanta.
i loved watching this interview, keep doing your thing mary, i will always love your music, especially now that you're reflecting the good & God in you. Who said R&B had to just be about pain or pain w/no answers for the pain. i believe God can be reflected in all music. God Bless Sister
