“Mary J. Blige simply.....IS!”
I went to a High School in Harlem before Mary was even a thought, way back in the late 40's - school was for gifted students in art and music. My gig was all the woodwinds, yeah, I literally blew my brains out and also did some arranging, composing, conducting - so, the reason I'm on Mary's website is simple - it's a home for me away from home. She's looking at me now, left side of the screen, I'm waiting for Mary to sing, totally real experience. Aside from Mary's talent, she represents to me all the greatness of Ella, Sarah, Gene Harris (Yo - say hello to his daughter Niki) Erroll, and other gifted artists gone forever. Mary's talent is so diverse that she can easily handle a ballad, as well as to step up and do any modern gig, any flavor, any genre, she's got what it takes - a GIFT of Nature. And, she is proof of the word LEGACY. I was in particular a devoted fan of Nina (Simone) - just got the word at this website about Mary playing Nina's role - YO - Mary's gonna' get an OSCAR. How do I know, I can see the future. She keeps looking at me, Mary does, left side of the screen - she is DIVINE - so special, so delicately all together, that if she ever hung up singing, Mary could without a doubt, have her own talk show. Mary say something, are YOU talking to ME - you're looking right at me, I'M ALIVE, crashing your website, you're probably sleeping, whatever, that's cool, but for me just hanging in here is just like being at home. Mary honey (I'm 73 so I've adopted you) each day when you look into a mirror, don't ask yourself "What Can I Do For Me Today." You don't have to Mary, you've got it all, and a worldwide fan base to prove it - take it from me - you are just super fine. Good luck with Nina's character - I can't wait to hear the soundtrack and then to see the flick. You are starring in the role of Nina Simone - and she was in my FAV FIVES long before Chalres Barkley ever used that expression. One of my favorite Nina Simone Tracks, or Tunes, is "Mississippi GodDamn." Start rehearsing Mary, I expect an equal and EVEN a BETTER performance from you. Night night honey - you simply ARE the first thought that comes to my mind when I hear the word MUSIC.

First I would like to give much respect to the QUEEN of R&B. Mary you are such an inspiriation in my life your music speeks to my soul. I have been a fan since day 1. My Life took your music places I never knew was in me. I love how you give us a positive black woman who uses her stories to help other sistas in need. I am sure I am not the only one who knows this. As a recently married woman to hear the song WE RIDE well let's just say that I know how you were feeling. My 4 year old daughter knows the words as well as my other daughter her song is TAKE ME AS I AM. To put it simple WE LOVE YOU MARY!!!!!!!!!!!

Mary u did it again,(Reflections)every time I think you give us ya best u do it bigger and betta.I have been waiting for a best of album for sum time now and u gave it to us.(thank u)I had to cop two (one for da car and da house)of them .I just brought the My Life album again for bout the 10 time(people keep gettin me for it)lol.Still to this day that is the GREATEST album of All times.That album is like medicine,theres healing in that cd.Still to this day when I'm gone through it I put on that cd and it puts me right where I need to b.Then to know u where gone through so many hard times when u did My Life and to be able to help people da way that cd helps me,jus makes me love and thank u even more.I don't know where I would b now if not for ya message of healing through your music.U r my Inspiration, and I pray that God contuines to BLESS u n everything that u do.U r a beautiful person inside and out and I thank u from the core of my heart for ya music,ya message and most of all ya mentoring..Everybody wants the sun but sumtimes it must rain,everybody wants joy but we must fell sum pain.We go through things that fell so wrong,But that's a test From God to make us STRONG and a strong women u r. Mary, ever since you came out I admired you since I heard your first album-Whats the 411. We have so much in common because when you were going through,I was going through right along with you. Then you would come out with an album that relates to the same thing that I've been going through and right now I have broke through and reflecting myself. Even though we don't know each other I've grown up and matured with you. If I don't have noone of the other artist that I love albums, I got yours. I support you, I love you and I wish the best for you. My birthday is January 13 and yours is on the 14th. My mom says, "No wonder you like Mary so much." “why does iTunes usually have an extra song”
I've noticed that when I buy an album in the stores as I usually do. I check on iTunes and it usually has an extra track, for the breakthrough it had an track for So Lady, in addition the hidden tracks are split into 2 tracks on iTunes instead of it being one very lonng track of 2 songs like the album? I will always buy the album I'm just wondering why it's setup that way.

“A Best Of or Some Favorites?”
As one of your biggest fans and one who has championed your work in it's entirety from the first time we (the world) heard your painful, honest, beautiful soul through your sincere voice, I never thought I would say how dissappointed I am in this collection. I've sat back watched & listened to how you've credited someone for bringing to you what was already within you. I listened to lyrics and interviews and asked myself why has she become someone else. Many of us that has followed you way before certain persons have aboarded your ship has always wanted to see you happy. Yet you forget to include works that has helped you tell your story far beyond who ever selected these songs. Kenny Green (God Bless him) would role over in his grave if he knew "You Remind Me" or "Remenise" didn't make the long awaited collection. The write up which justifies why these songs were picked is BS. Not Gonna Cry is a "Waiting to Exhale" release that was added to "Share My World". It insults George Benson, James Mtume, Me etc. to not include records like "7-Days". Despite feelings about whoever & whatever, it's God & the fans that embrace you. Even in your time of rejoicing remember this, there is someone going through & will go through what you've overcome. I say that to say, you use to talk the language of the people. Money, fame & opportunist should not change how people hear you. In my oppion, this album is not a best of. It should be called someone's favorites... I know & respect your power in this business. I also understand this comment may effect my career negatively but your artistry & so many voices (including mine) is too important to my generation to not speak. I've witnessed a young girl in tears saying to you, "Mary you've saved my life". Is this the cllection of songs that gave her the hope she needed? With humility & respect, Malik Pendleton

off the chain thats all I can say, u tore that verse up on Ask Myself, if u havent heard it on the Mary and Friends joint, I suggest you go out and cop that real quick..Robin Thicke has a very nice CD but after hearing MJB on that track it just took it to another level..all I can say is Damn Damn Damn!!!!! I need you back at the house of blues and also I hope you put out a CD with all of your Live performances with the Live Band, when is MTV gonna give you your MJB live, make sure u request Quest Love for your band, he is awesome..and with you vocals boy oh boy..

The billboard Awards was weak. But u were Off the Chain. I loved your out fit and your hair. But I really loved your performance. No one is a soulful as you. Am I really feel you when you sing. Your are like me you waer your heart on your sleeve. I almost cried because I am going through it also people cant accept a sista for her. They want me to be what they want. I am not a beaty queen but I love myself and thank god for what I do have which is love for everyone. I love you and always will. I will be buying you new album twice.
